X160 BNWAS

The X160 BNWAS is designed to ensure that a vessel is always under the control of the Officer of the Watch (OOW). The OOW must reset the BNWAS within a set time period.
It is a key item of equipment for companies running a “one-man bridge” operation, where the vessel solely relies on the OOW to ensure its safety. Should the OOW become unable to interact with the BNWAS, the system will enter a sequence of alarm stages.
Stage 1 – Audible and visual alarm local to the wheelhouse only.
Stage 2 – Additional audible and visual alarm in chosen officer’s quarters.
Stage 3 – Additional audible alarm in further officer and crew areas.

AUDIO & DATA RECORDER Clear communications are a vital part of marine operations. The X-VHFR data recorder maintains, in a secure retrievable format, a record of communication and location data that may be used for training, education or marine incident investigation. It may also be used in ports and harbours where local legislation requires the recording of voice communications.
The X-VHFR provides a cost-effective means of recording VHF communications, bridge audio, and vessel position, along with AIS at any given time. For those vessels exempt from carrying a VDR System, it has proved ideal for verifying ship-to-ship and ship-to-shore communications, together with the associated date, time, and location of the vessel.
